Motivated by the desire to provide everyone with the opportunity for swim lessons from qualified and experienced instructors, the Girch's started MarTar. Since it's founding, MarTar has specialized in teaching individuals with special needs, including children and adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, ADHD, PDD, Cerebral Palsy, and Visual and/or Audio Impairments. From several years of experience, MarTar has the knowledge to teach every individual to swim, employing a variety of techniques including but not limited to visual aids and sign language. MarTar is committed to providing excellence in instruction by providing rigorously trained and qualified instructors, emphasizing the consistency and structure of content in lessons, and creating a compassionate and challenging learning environment.
