About

Instructors & Employees

The difference between MarTar instructors and other instructors can be found in the qualifications that must be met and the training that must be completed before becoming a MarTar instructor. All of our instructors have either extensive experience or degrees in education, specifically special education, as well as a background in swimming. Before teaching lessons, instructors must complete 40 hours of in-water training: 25 hours of observation and 15 hours as a lead instructor under the supervision of a current instructor. Instructors are also ISIA Adaptive Aquatics, CPR and First Aid Certified.
